Getting Your Handwriting in Print

by Louellen Coker on February 3, 2009

Getting your handwriting in print is sometimes difficult and can be quite pricey. in its post, DIY: YourFonts Turns Your Handwriting Into a Personalized Font, Lifehacker turned us on to a site that will do it for free!

Yes, that’s right! Free!

At YourFonts, you can have your handwriting (and signature) turned into a TrueType font that you can use on your computer in seven easy steps.

  1. Print the template
  2. Complete the template
  3. Scan and save the template
  4. Upload the template
  5. Preview your font
  6. Download your font
  7. Install and use your font

It’s just that easy. Be forewarned, Lifehacker’s post is popular, so YourFont’s servers will be understandably busy for a bit. The adage “good things come to those who wait,” rings true in this instance.
